Can anyone help? After hours of diagnosis I have fixed my dashboard lights. The connector coming from the battery right before it goes through the firewall had bent pins. Now they look fantastic, except for one thing, THE TACH LIGHT BLINKS!! haha. It's crazy. Does this mean the bulb is going or is it some weird gremlin? It's not a "hit a bump" kind of blink either, it's like a very slow turn signal steady blink. Thanks and by the way I'm new here and I just stayed up until 2:30am reading these threads, great forum! Oops forgot to say what car I have, 1963 Convertible.

You probably have a blinking bulb. If I remember correctly, it's a 253 or something like that. That one should be in your headlight warning socket. It looks just like the other bulbs.

The tach light(s) should be single gray wires with metal bulb sockets and #1816 bulbs. The "Lights" warning light has a light blue and a gray/black wire, and uses a #257 flashing bulb. The "Brake" warning light has a black wire and also uses a #257 flashing bulb.
If the tach light is blinking, either it has the wrong bulb in it, or the wrong wire/socket is plugged into its hole.
