Looking for my corvettes history
I have a 63 Corvette, and I think it was sold new at Malcom Konner in Paramus, NJ ...
how can I find out the history ...? I'm actually looking for the original owner to see if he has any parts I'm missing!
thanks for your help!!!

I bought my 68 at Malcolm Konner and it was the biggerst Corvette dealership in North Jersey/NY metro area so that is probably a good lead. Like Dan said the NCRS can verify that. You may want to check in with the NCRS chapter in North Jersey too. It is a pretty big one.

If you are willing to pay an expert Bill Gould of www.autoancestry.com can come up with quite a bit for a nominal fee.

You can start by joining NCRS and purchasing a copy of the shipping report. It will confirm the name and location of the dealer and give you the delivery date. Then you can try to get information from the dealership or its successor (long shot). In some states, you can also get information from the DMV (equally long shot). There are online title search companies that will search public State databases for a fee. I learned that way that my car was once registered in Indiana, having originally been delivered in New York. But owners' names are generally withheld.
I did the same, then contacted the Attica, NY Chamber of Commerce, who led me to the local Chevrolet Dealership in Attica. NCRS said my car was delivered to Fred Spohr Chevrolet in Attica and it turned out that Uptown Chevrolet and Fred Spohr Chevrolet are doing business out of the very same building since 1916. Library Historian can be helpful, I'm also thinking about running an Ad in the local Attica, NY newspaper (suggestion from CF Member) to see if I can locate Jim or James Mooran or Moran, believed to be the original owner.
Good Luck with your search.

Hope your car's a convertible. Then you can get a Malcolm Konner ad from a 1963 issue of Road & Track and blow it up as a sign board for car shows. I'll never forget the tagline:
CALL OR SEE BOB WASSERMAN!
CALL OR SEE BOB WASSERMAN!

The OP Scootmandude, hasn't posted since 2011. Probably doesn't care anymore. Probably doesn't even own the car anymore either.
