What specifications? Isn't the geometry for all small blocks the same? If you are running solid lifters, you would want to use the hardened rockers.

Pushrods for SBC's can be bought in a variety of lengths depending on what has been done to the block, cam, heads, valves, etc. This is so you can get the contact patch between the rocker arm tip and the top of the valve correct. If the engine you intend to put them in is not modified with a decked block, shaved heads, etc. then the stock pushrod length should be just fine.

Is this the info you're after?

Derek,

I still have the push rods from the engine for the 461 heads that I sold you. If you want them I'll bring them to Dallas with me the next time I come up.

Thanks Paul! I’ll take ‘em.

I found a nice set of comp cams pushrods laying around my friend’s shop but they are 7.30 and I wasn’t positive on the length. Thanks everyone!

The above is good, important info, if push rod length is incorrect, premature valve guide wear and not getting maximum valve lift is some of the results, especially with high RPM engines and high lift cams. A little off subject but way back when we were setting up high RPM Ford 351Cs with high lift cams and very strong valve springs, we had to many valve guide issues. We solved the problem by off setting the rocker/to valve tip pattern because the second half of the cam lift was doing all the damage due to that being the most stressful portion of the lift. We put that portion of the pattern closer to center.

Derek,

Two things:

1) The push rods I have are 7.80". Is this the size you want?

2) I won't be coming to Dallas for about another month. I can put them into a USPS Small Flat Rate box and send them to you.

Let me know.

Paul
