I put magnetic drains plugs on my '61 & '65. I have tried the neoprene and copper gasket and oil still seeps from the plug. Anyone have a gasket that seals and where to get one? Thanks. Happy 4th
I bought a new garden hose that had an O ring instead of the familiar flat rubber washer.
That O-ring was a perfect fit to my rear diff plug. Looks like it belongs and dry as a bone.
CAUTION: All rubbers are not alike. Polymers and formulations vary greatly depending on the environment for which they are intended. It is likely that the hose o-ring is EPDM, whereas NBR would be preferred for the rear diff. It may look OK at installation, but over time it may deteriorate and leak.

If it comes to that? I will search out one formulated for oil usage. My C2 is inspected often. I will correct if it becomes a problem.
Even when no seal or o-ring is used. It only gets slight seepage.
My point was to suggest a large O-ring.
