Hey Chris,
Did John replace the rings in your ZZ4? That is what he now does with any GM crate engine. He says that if you don't you will burn oil at about 7K miles. How many miles on your engine before you started burning oil?

Didn't you see my post on this thing. Runs great did everything I hoped it would do and cheap too. Although you have to have a machine shop and the skills to produce the one off parts.
