67 wiper transmission question
Hi,
I'm slowly putting back together a 67 Roadster that's been apart since about 1981. Anyway, I'm trying to install the wiper transmission posts. They appear to be the same except that the linkage arm on one is slightly longer, only by about 1/4", than the other. One is stamped "D" and the other is "E" (longer one). There are no part numbers on either of them, so I can't match them up to what is shown in the GM assembly manual.
Can anyone tell me which is the driver and which is the passenger side one?
Thanks in Advance.

I don't have the answer for you, but as you assemble here are some reference photos from my 65 with the wipers parked
Left transmission
Right transmission
Center linkage

The one with the arm stamped "E" goes on the passenger side; it's that way because the total arc sweep of the pass. side blade (82*) is slightly less than the one on the driver's side (87*) due to the way the blades park.

Is it possible to swap the left and right side and have the wipers working?
Just asking because the wipers on my car will not park(which i think is a electric fault on the wiper motor)
Is the arm stamped E on the drivers side on a 64 as well?

Your problem is in the wiper motor.
Your passenger side transmission arm should also be stamped.

In case of rain
In the event I need my wipers, how far is it to Oslo from Rotterdam? From Amsterdam to Bridge to Scandinavia ? best Route ? Not through cities , but good back roads.
Don't ask questions why yet......

Jack from Rotterdam to Oslo it is 1302 km(14 hours nonstop drive thru Germany)1302 km is 809.025 miles
From Rotterdam to the bridge between Denmark and Sweden it is about 997 km which is 619.507 miles
I used Google Earth to calculate the distance and the link under to calculate kilometers to miles
Note that Google Earth is using the fastest and shortest route i think
How does this compare to the distances when you drove around the US?

20,000 (33,000 Kilometer) miles on 48 state trip
Will 8,000 (13,000 k) miles get me to most countries on back roads ? From Rotterdam to northern Europe, then south from Norway or Sweden, to east coast of Italy across Italy up western side riviera , to French coast to Spanish coast , to France (Paris) to Holland and Rotterdam.
Seems like a nice ride
