What you have there may be working but it isn't right. I was hoping someone would post a picture of a transmission with the linkage installed on it. I've seen it here before.
The linkage looks correct to me. I looked in 3 books that i have to verify it was installed correctly. I'll snap a picture when i put it back on the lift this weekend. Oil is leaking out of the front pan to timing cover seal, so that needs to be addressed as well.

Wrong shift rods are another possibility.
