Default Any one using E-85?

What is the deal with 'E-85'......I know of a injected 454 with a GM supercharger using the fuel with out any problems, I did not get too involved with whether there were any changes or if there was, what they were...He races this car and shows up at the shoot-outs...its not a Vette but where the engine rests is really not relevant...{for what is worth however its a 49 Caddie fastback} ...Any one have experience with using this fuel with the high compression a blower provides...What about FI engines like a Rochester? Could shine be caustic to parts...or should you just drink it.

Don't even THINK about using E85 - it's corrosive, and any carb needs HUGE jets and a specific metering system to use it.

i topped off a half tank of 87 E10 with E85 (guess that made it about E45..) and continued on the interstate with no problems. however i only did it once and was severely chastised for even doing that one time...
