Export 62
Any one know if a 62 exported to Canada had a kilometers per hour speedometer or any other differences.

Canada was not Metric in 1962. The country switched to Metric 1975.

Is there a way to visually distinguish a 1962 export from a non-export???

Seems like you have your answer. I had a Canadian 57 with miles not kilometers. Bill

My question wasn't about the speedometer. I am wanting to know if there is a way to tell an export from a non-export in 1962.

When I had my 57 I had access to the Vin numbers of Canadian export Corvettes. I seem to remember that there were about 20. There was also more information available such as original color, etc. I'm not sure if the Vins for 62's are out there or not. Bill

NCRS says that my car is "believed to be an export." I only have owner history since the mid 90s and was trying to get information on the original selling dealer. Since NCRS doesn't seem to be sure that it is an export, I was hoping there was a way to tell just by looking at it. Apparently the exports from back then don't have the distinct differences that today's exports have.

ALSO, NCRS has their SHIPPING info if the vin number is 6500 or higher. That will help.

Nope. No difference between a U.S.-sold and Canadian-sold '62.
