Frank, If your balancer is correct to the motor, and you want/need it rebuilt, I can vouch for Damper Dudes in Ca. 800-413-2673. The cushion on mine was looking bad, so I had them rebuild it...just like new.

frankie I am sure you know you can rotate the distributor to any orientation as long as the wires are also rotated. Check the timing with wire connector on the #8 cylinder and it should read fine.

Yes I do know that...with the induction pick up on the #8 wire...I can't even see the timing mark on the balancer as it is w-a-y off counter clockwise somewhere.
