Default C1 Replacement Jack

Has anyone purchased a C1 replacement scissor jack from Corvette Central and if so, is it somewhat functional for emergency use? Any other recommendations are appreciated. Thanks

I have a repro C1 jack that the previous owner spent too much money on and it doesn't even look all that original. They DO work however they come with a sleeve on the screw part to prevent using them along with a warning label for liability, you can remove the sleeve and use the jack (at your own risk of course -- see attached article).

However you can save your money and get nearly any 1-1/2 ton scissors jack for anywhere from $29 - $69.

I have had both original and repro C1 jacks, and I think the repro jack is just as strong as the original. I think that they put the warning sleeve on just to absolve themselves of any liability from its use. Everybody that buys one of them, removes the sleeve!
