booster hiss at start up...then goes away
At start up, power break booster sounds like it has a leak...then goes away after driving....feels like the booster still works after driving...just a loud hiss initially at the floor...brakes work fine after leaving the driveway with no hiss. If i sit it for a couple hours...no issues. Sits for a week or more...hissing at the floor (with spongy brake)..anything i can do....i'm new with power brakes

sounds like a vacuum leak, could be internal.
run the engine for 5 minutes then shut it off.. pump the brakes 4-5 times. does the pedal get harder? it should, as the pressure differential is lost between the two sides and you lose boost. then hold your foot light to medium on the pedal and start the car. does your foot and pedal start to sink towards the floor? it should, as the boost from vacuum assist comes back.

There's a foam seal around the pedal pushrod where it exits the booster, to muffle the sound of air entering that cavity when you press the brake pedal; if that seal has deteriorated, you'll hear a "hiss".
