Default 1967 Corvette

Hi

As a new owner of this Vette I would like advice as what to do next with this car.
1967 Vette all original, no hit body, original paint, 95% original parts
I would like the forums input on the car, and get the NCRS judging on the car

Great looking car, congrats. Get yourself the NCRS judging manual and if you don't have the AIM get one of those as well. As for the car , have you checked all the mech, elect. and saftey issues ????

Get NCRS tech info manual & judging guide ( one doc). Read. Enter car in next local chapter judging event. The rest you'll figure out once you get a baseline report from that judging.

Car looks and sounds as it should. However the NCRS stuff is all in the detail.

First be sure all the operational things work, if they don't you get a full deduct. Things like cigarette ligher, wipers, radio (am&fm side), all safety stuff, I could go on, but the NCRS judging manulal says it better.

Hard to tell from video but one thing is the 'HT' sticker is in the wron place, as it should be on the back of the valve cover, other side. So you may have some other things like that.

Congrats, looks like a nice car!
I'm assuming that you had it inspected by a qualified Corvette expert before buying, so you should already have the big numbers like the engine, trans, diff etc.
As others have said, from there get the judging guide and then you can check the numbers for the smaller stuff like the starter, alternator, carb etc.
Join the NCRS, your local chapter may even hold a judging school on the car to go through it with you, then get it judged a a chapter meet so that you can qualify for a regional.
Most chapter meets are quite lenient, its usually only when you get to a regional that you'll really get the nitty gritty on your car.
Enjoy it and drive the wheels off of it!

Thanks for all the input. First I will join NCRS. Next I will try to get recomended for bowtie survivor judging. Maybe next season Bloomington Survivor. The car is all original except for the carb. It was changed 40 years ago.

Thanks Again

I've a 67 big block that was originally delivered to Bob Coyle Chevrolet, San Jose, CA in early 1967. The VIN#194677S106682 and have been searching for anyone who may have any dealer documents on the car, or know of someone who may or where I might look. I've been in contact with Van (Chevy Thunder) and Northern CA, neither having any information. I'd appreciate any suggestions or input towards locating such info.

Thanks, Ted

I would start my own thread, posting on a 2 year old thread that has nothing to do with the info you seek, isn't going to help.

You have a very nice car, but why do you want it NCRS or Bloomington Gold Judged? As long as you know what you have and that the car is what you say it is that is all you need.
