Well . . . we haven't heard from him for 2 days now . . . I think he's still out driving it! Can't say I'd blame him!!! I'd want to put some miles on after all that work for sure!!!

Sorry Y'all, after I drove it home from the tuner I realized that I wanted to get the ride height correct before doing the alignment. So I'm waiting on the correct coil springs... the rear leaf settled down an 1" or so but the front is still high. Coil springs should be here today or tomorrow.
No grass growing under me though, got the raw water pump replaced on my ski boat and cleaned the hull and prepped it for waxing.
Also wanted to clean up the radiator hose routing/transitions on the Vette. Looked for days for hose reducers that would last, finally bumped across these - really sweet! Put them in last night.

Where did you get the reducers. I could use a few myself.

Well, it's now transitioned from project to being a CAR!! The top will go on next week but couldn't resist driving it to work on such a beautiful day! New front springs and alignment are done and the ride height is level - drives great!! Here's a pic of me with the car finally - after looking through the thread I realized that I'm usually the one taking the pics in progress...

Rhett,
Finally a face with a name.
The car is amazing especially considering what you started with .
I am envious of your skills.

Very nice. Enjoy. I'm soooo far away it doesn't really feel like I have one.

Thanks All
I couldn't have done it without all of your input and insights, that's for sure - this Forum is absolutely wonderful!
Vetternr - I'm an Architect and we have "jeans Fridays".
I have always worked with my hands though so the "dirty" jobs are usually of my own making now! Worked in the oilfields of West Texas during college, hauled hay, etc - my Dad was a great tutor, he started work for Magnolia Pipeline as a ditch digger in 1945 directly out of the Navy (no college degree and before backhoes!). He always told me that "if you can take something apart, you can put it back together even better", so I've become a bit of a restorer in many aspects in life.
Here we are working on my '72 Cutlass and his '49 Ford F1, I'm working - he's supervising...

Beautiful car! What you have accomplished is awesome and incentive for me to start working on my '66 again that I have not touched since July, 2016. Bonding the fiberglass nose back on without an experienced helper stopped me from trying it myself.
Enjoy your accomplishments!
