I've had a moderate to sometimes non existant wobble in my 67 for a couple of years. (I know ). It feels as if a wheel is wobbling but it is not. The drive train on these cars has so many possibility's that I've really not been able to come up with a diagnosis. It appears when accelerating briskly and gets more pronounced if I'm on it hard. This winter I was going to pull it all apart but wound up finishing the basement instead! I really feel someone on the board has been where I am with this problem. All thoughts welcomed! Al W. Could you be a little more specific? The car does what, exactly, under hard acceleration? A wobble to me sound like a loose wheel or a tire out of round or balance but I doubt that is what you meant.

Hard to put it into words but I'll try. From the drivers seat it feels like it's coming from the right rear area of the car. If the Rim were bent it would produce the same feeling all the time. At cruise and light acceleration all is well. I really think it has something to do with the Torque of hard acceleration but where to look? Al W.

Classic symptoms of either trailing arm pivot bushings shot, or the pivot bolt shim pack has come loose, or both.
