to answer the "why" question.
When I bought the car it had a version of this stroker motor in it . The original 327 was all in parts on a pallet and in boxes . I ran the 383 till it developed problems and rebuilt it . I should have put the money into the 327 but I liked the HP and torque the stroker had .
Years later ........ I decided to put the 327 back together and see how the car runs with it in . It kept over heating so it was in and out of the shop numerous times .
Being retired and having time this winter I decided to swap the engines again .
I'm just now hooking up all the wiring ,fuel lines , clutch , etc .
Hopefully it'll be running next week.
