Ok I think this should be the last one. After getting all the wires behind the dash buttoned up on my 67 I find a dangler. I grab my Doc rebuild schematic and find it and it says it is the ignition switch lamp but....I already have a lamp there and this one is smaller and would not fit in the ignition switch housing. I find a diagram here and it says that it is the radio lamp so which is it? Thanks Jim
so glad not to be you. I just replaced every harness in the car and my head still hurts. Sorry this is no help just wanted to let you know I feel your pain.
I have that one that comes out of that part of the harness but my Doc Rebuild schematic says it should be the ignition switch bulb...this says its for the radio but I am not sure if this is for a 67 or other year
Yes I got the cig light attached it was on the main portion of the harness behind the cluster. What I have is a smaller bulb that comes out with the clock lights and the radio connection and I don't know what it's for. Is there a light for the radio?

The radio light is built into the radio and gets its power from the radio connector gray wire.(pic below of a 67 radio)
That light you're asking about is for the heater controls. It's a backlight that uses a torpedo bulb and special clip, along with a green cover for the bulb.
See this thread and a nice photo from JohnZ in post #6.....

That's what I remember and a royal PITA to change out...
I'm curious if the Dr. Rebuild diagram is actually labeled wrong...one of their selling points is that they do an actual circuit check (on a car) of all their wiring depictions..
Ps. Spoke to Lectric limited at bloomington and it does clip to the clock as some of you suggested. I guess the doc rebuild schematic was wrong. Thanks for the replies. Jim

Actually, it clips to the slot at 6 o'clock in the clock housing that rivets to the dash panel, and the upturned end of the clip rubs against the clock case itself to provide the ground for the bulb.

Would you mind telling which program you are using to tag your wires in the pictures you supplied?
