This is as close to an ad or a photo that I have for mine - little mom-and-pop dealership in Elgin, Iowa (pop. 600 in 1967); I've talked to the 87-y/o retired dealership owner at length - he remembers ordering and selling my car (he only sold two Corvettes a year, but sold LOTS of trucks).

Bet they told you quite a few people asked if "the red one in the middle" was for sale!

Found this one. My 73 came from Mann. I ordered it and waited an agonizing 3 1/2 months for it.

Here's the Chevy dealer that delivered my '66. It was ordered through Miller Motors in Long Prairie MN but was delivered to Midway Chevy in St Paul MN for some reason.

When I was in high school, my dad bought a '61 Impala and then a '64 Impala from Rosenthal Chevrolet in Arlington, VA. I should have taken a picture of the dealership back then because it turns out that the '67 Corvette I bought 18 months ago was originally sold at that dealership.

Not where my car came from but my local chevy store for parts. My car wears their license frame now. Rancho Chevrolet , Reseda CALIF ca. early 70s. Sure wish I had the money back then to buy that lightly used Marina Blue L71 on the OK Used Car line.

I did a quick google search and found this pic from '63 in Arlington VA. It should be Rosenthal Chevy to the right and Bauserman Dodge dealer to the left.

Btw...I found the pic here and it must be better than nothing

Thanks Isac!! That's the place. Brings back memories.

A little anecdote: The morning after my dad bought the new '61 Impala from that dealership the battery was dead as a doornail. He got a ride to work, called the dealership, and they told him to bring it in and they'd give him a new battery. So my mom took the car in and I went with her. I was just a punk 9th grader at the time but I already didn't trust car dealers. So before we left the house, I popped the hood and put a mark on the side of the battery. So we took the car in, left it there and went shopping somewhere in the area. When we got back, the salesman told my mom they put a new battery in and everything was fine now. We got in the car and I told my mom to pull around the corner. I got out, popped the hood, and found the same battery there with the mark I had put on it. So I found the salesman and told him he didn't put in a new battery. He sheepishly got someone to put in a new battery and we left as happy campers.

Todd,
This is ARA. Are the last two pics you posted from Gordon Wilson Chevrolet out of Murray Utah? I am very interested in those pictures as my 67 Coupe is from there. Please let me know, or PM me as you have my email (got the gas cap from you yesterday)
Thanks so much
ARA

I have some pics from Curtis Chevrolet in Washington DC area. Dealer 144 in Zone 14. This was the selling dealer of my 1967 factory air car. This dealership also ordered and sold one of the original 1967 L-88 cars. A few years prior, the dealership had a different name, and was involved in a very active factory drag racing program in the Washington DC area.

I was also able to locate the dealership owner. He was very nice, but did not remember a lot from this time (1967). He also indicated no records were available.

Larry
