Ara:

I cannot recall where I found those photos because I am constantly downloading vintage photos when I find ones I like. Those photos are of Clippinger Chevrolet.

If you go to Google, toggle to search for images and type in Clippinger Chevrolet, you will find these and some other photos that appear.

Todd

PS - I will ship your cap tomorrow.

Got the NCRS shipping report on my '63 SWC - it was purchased at Lawrence Hall Chevrolet in Anson, TX 50 years ago - they are STILL in business at the same location.

I emailed them and I get a call from the current owner of the business. They have mailed me a bunch of memorabilia from the "old days" including a logo license plate frame, a metal emblem like they put on the cars they sold back then (as seen in 2nd picture; he'd been saving it for just such a purpose it seems) and a bunch of pictures and a T-shirt.

What a great gesture !

Boy would I love to find something on Big 4 Chevrolet of St Louis, MO, or Collinsville, IL. License plate frame, key chain... even a pic?

My '66 Convertible was delivered new by Merollis Chevrolet in East Detroit!

Strangely enough . . . that's also where the "World's Greatest Car Salesman" (Guinness Book of Records) - Joe Girard - worked @ the time. I had the good fortune to meet Joe years ago when he was a motivational speaker but not knowing @ the time any of that!!! I sent him an email a few years ago asking if he had possibly sold my car new . . . and although he stated he had no records to prove it, that he likely did sell it new! Small world!!!

Another Yingling Corvette. FI Convertable. Ordered early by a returning Air Force veteran. Came in Sept. 28th. Sat in showroom over the weekend for display. It was their first 63. New owner picked it up Monday Oct. 1st.

Dude, you are the Yingling King!!!
All I have is a corroded license plate frame. LOL
The first owner of my car lived in Oklahoma at the time, then moved shortly to Southern California

Good thread - resurrected from 2013, but I'm in...
Since then I got my dealership report and found out my 67 was out of Ewing in Canton OH (home to a lot of COPOs in 69).

My car was delivered to Schonlaw, but probably sold at Harry Mann, still looking for documents. Old thread but I just love this kind of stuff.
