I need to remove the instrument panel on my 59 to replace gauge lenses and faces as well as upgrade the mechanical tach to electronic.
I removed 4 1/4-20 hex screws from under the dash, but the panel didn't seem to loosen.

 

There are FIVE screws under there and one is very hidden....do NOT force anything until all the attaching hardware is removed...see pic.

Attached is a Joe Fisher (plaidside) article on cluster removal in the later C1s.
