1962 Generator help

1962 Generator help

I am new to vintage electrics. How do you test the generator and voltage regulator? I have searched but cant find anything specific.

I replaced brushes, springs and bearings in the generator but didn't check the armature resistance. If the voltage regulator is OK, I would prefer to keep it original.

Look in Section 9, Electrical Systems, Engine Electrical - there's about 50 pages on the Starting, Charging, and Ignition Systems.
