This was a lot of fun tonight. Some great cars, enthusiastic buyers, great crowd.
The Ex- Michael Schumacher F300 Ferrari F-1 car was a kick. They started it up on the block and blipped the throttle about 10 times -last one probably to 12-14 grand. What a kick *** sound in that big indoor space. Went for 1.1 M, I think. Somebody got a great deal on that.

Bill, I don't blame you one bit, however the top people in the hobby inspected the motor and deemed it as the real deal. FWIW, I saw the motor and bid on the car myself and I agree 100% with them.

Sold for $3,000,000!
Watched the sale on TV yesterday, unbelievable. Bidding went to 2 ½ million in a matter of seconds and then climbed to $3 million when the reserve was lifted and the car sold.
Very exciting weekend lining up at Barrett-Jackson! I have not tuned in this week, but will be watching this weekend.
Red/red L88 coupe will cross the block with a Duntov award. Very impressive.

The '67 L-88 is one fantastic car, but I have a basic question since I'm am out of the loop on the upper end of collecting. Was Roy Sinor the owner and seller of the '67 L-88 as discussed above? Dennis

Roy was not the owner/seller but just the consigner of the cars

These days it is enough to have a matching numbers motor and claim the big money pay day. An IT motor plugged in there doesn't mean it came down the line in St. Louis and was born with that same block.

Anyone know the history of the '67 L88? Is it the one that was taken apart by the original owner and later put back together? I was thinking Rogers Corvettes owned it? There was a member on here that knew the original owner and helped take it apart...and actually had a piece of the original car. Or am I confusing it with another car?
