Sitting in Key West NAS campground. Just got back from cruising Duval Street in the '60. Mid seventies and sunny. Like being a rock star. Thumbs up and people yelling at you how much they like the car.
After 40 years of work it's nice to be retired. I just hope I don't break a hip getting into the car...
I can't explain this mean streak and why I have to be hurtful and tell you guys this except that back home in western MA it is single digits and *** deep snow.
I think I'll snap open another and put something on the grill.
Hi Black60,
Good try! You can't make me jealous . I reside in sunny South Florida and live the dream 24/7/365 ! Make sure to grab a cold one with your sweetheart and watch the sunset on the pier. Also, stop by Sloppy Joe's for a cocktail and save room for homemade key lime pie. Lucky you... that's the bomb! Enjoy your vacation!

It's been raining for the last two days and there is a high probability of it continuing for the next week. Nothing made of fiberglass is going to move an inch anytime soon.
Ordinarily, that would be a depressing thought. Today, not so much.
You see, I'm in California and that rain is just about the most beautiful sight possible right now.

after many years of little rain here in Florida (i mowed the entire 75 acre lake bottom with a tractor and bush hog last summer), any and all rain we get is appreciated...

I too want to know did you drive the '60 all the way down from MA?
It's been 7 years since my wife and I have been to the Keys. I'm sure it hasn't changed. That boardwalk at dusk is one carnival like atmosphere
.
Had a blast staying at a Bed & Breakfast in Key West.

Not too badly crowded. We are #138 for rotation onto full hook ups. The worst spot at the campground is fabulous and $15 a night. I trailered the old girl down. Second year doing so. I now know what it feels like to be a rock star. People go crazy over the car. Had a guy ask me if it was rear engined. Now that's a first.
Hi Roger:
Ever go to Ochopee, FL? Route 41. skunkape.com. A campground in the 'glades run by camo clad good old boys. Yikes! Dueling banjos baby! They said "Massatoo*****" when pronouncing my state. Much like Obama did after he had said he campaigned in 57 states...
Wild Bill:
Mowing a lake? LOL! You're a pisser! Glad you guys are getting rain.
Last year I stopped on Duval Street and picked up Cher. Her show started in a few hours. I offered to drive her up and down Duval while she advertised her show sitting on the back deck of my car. She was from New Jersey which I hadn't realized. In person she looks to have an adams apple and is a bit huskier than she looks on TV. Probably something to do with the camera angles.
My parents had the good sense to leave Brooklyn and head south in 1946 with me in my mom's womb so I have the good fortune to have been born and raised in Miami. Enjoy it while you can, Black60.
Stationed in Key West from 1967-71. Met my wife of 44 years there. Now retired and live in CT and have had my '58 for 30 years. You have now made me add to my bucket list. Have some smoked dolphin and a PBR for me you lucky devil!

Lucky you. I love it down there and wish I was there. You are missing another snow storm Sunday night into Monday back home in Mass. You definitely have the right idea. I've done Duval Street in an old Corvette a few years ago. I'm sure yours made a splash. Have fun

Wow! Did not know it was that bad.
Beautiful country, there, anything north of CR 41.

That's because she/he was a drag queen doing a female impersonator act!:
Rubbin' it in does not begin to describe! Calling for a heat wave here of 32 today, then back down to 3 tonight! Nice '60, go put some more miles on it, that's what it was made for!
