Congratulations on the car and the deal you negotiated. I'm guessing you will be on pins and needles until the car is in your possession. I know I would be.

You should make the short trip (okay, maybe not that short) from Virginia to Somerset Kentucky (my hometown) for Somernites Cruise. It is undoubtedly one of the largest monthly car shows anywhere. Though the '64 won't make it this year I still have my '72 that I can take.

The Cats have kicked some but so far in the tourney but Florida may be too tough. Despite the odds I'll still root for our guys.

Good luck with the car.

Thanks, Gene.

Your car inspired me on. Doubt I'll make it to Somerset this year, but maybe next. Used to spend some quality time down there with old UK classmates.

Hard to feel confident in our chances against those nasty Gators.

Thanks, Mark. I was thinking about hooking up with the Beachcombers when I get my baby. She will ship to Fredericksburg sometime this week. I may get her to the house as early as next saturday.

I appreciate the invite!

At least one of us is inspired. Right now I need to get the steering column mounted so I can get the body shimmed. Because the steering box is mounted to the frame and the column is mounted to the body the body has to be shimmed so the steering shaft in the column will line up with the input shaft of the steering box. If they don't line up then you'll never get the rag joint installed and you'll have to re-shim the body.

Living where I do I'm kind of isolated from my car buddies so my schedule sometimes revolves around theirs. Couple that situation with a winter that has been challenging leaves me a little behind in the process.

Have fun with the car and make sure sharp and/or weighty objects are removed from the room when you're watching the ball game.

Another thing learned here

Yeah, my folks, in Lexington, have had winter for going on 6 months now.

Unfortunately, I'm not overly optimistic about today's matchup.
