How do you reattach a vent window hinge pivot on a 1965 corvette convertible

Do you mean the rivet? Or one of the brackets the rivet goes thru?

it was originally spot welded from the factory and this the piece that goes on vent window frame

It will more than likely need to be TIG welded back on. Removal of the vent window and get the glass out of the stainless trim so it can be TIG'd.

I seriously doubt that a resistance welder can be used due to the narrow space that the glass fits into.

All depends on how you want it to look when completed. They do sell the replacement repair hinges online.
