Default Still got...

...too much crap.

Been selling my 30 plus year accumulation of classic Corvette and Chevy car parts.

Still got a bunch of stuff, mainly small parts.

Nuts, bolts, small chrome parts, small engine parts, etc., etc.

Trying to figure out how best to market and sell this stuff. Most of it came off of 1956 / 1957 Corvettes.

Stuff like parking brake jewel and spring, 56 only hard top chrome body pin receivers, wiper arms, one 56 horn, lower windshield washer bag clip, heater hose clip, early 56 fuel tank sending unit...you get the point.

Seems like I can't find the end of these car parts. Every time I open a box I haven't looked at in 10 years, I find more stuff.

Suggestions on marketing ideas greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is a good problem to have, but it seems like a lot of work just to get rid of a bunch of small stuff.

Group them in small units like ten pieces then sell them that way on E-bay. Packaging them to ship is the hard part on small items. I gave most away to friends or just through them out. After all there only Corvette parts.

Not exactly sure what that means.

I have been collecting parts and working on cars since I was 15. I still have a few parts that I got when I was 15. I just turned 57, so I guess that is more like 40 plus years.

I have never owned a mid year, and have never had many mid year parts. My parts and cars have all been C1 or C3.

Anyway, I have been selling off parts for the past year or so. Most of the high dollar stuff is gone. Just a bunch of small parts left.

I did have the parts you are asking about, but they were sold a while back.

Any chance do you have the top and bottom washer fluid bag mounts for a 56?

I know I have the bottom mount. I don't think I have the top. I will check and get back to you.

I usually try to "Pay it Forward" and just give small parts away to friends or acquaintances or club members. All I ask is they not resell them, I could do that, and if they eventually find they can't use the parts to give them away to others who might be in need. It's not about the money, rather it's helping others.

If you have parts for sale, please list them with prices in the Parts section rather than conduct sales here in General without prices. Thanks!

Understood.

Right now I am trying to figure out what the parts that I pictured actually are.

OK, I am able to identify the part in the second set of pictures.

It is a "modified" part.

It is the top part of a 58-62 Corvette washer bottle bracket.

I am still not sure if the top set of pictures is a 56 washer bag lower bracket.

Default Ed, your message box is full, couldn't reply

Ed, I am looking for the u shaped spring retainer that hold the park brake cables to the frame bracket on a 1962, they are smaller than typical brake hose lines. Dino

Can you tell me what it looks like or is called on the AIM sheet for the parking brake cable? I am not sure what part you are talking about.

Is it part number 516213, called a "Retainer" with a quantity of 2 needed?

I finally found our for sure what this thing is..

It is a one off part used on the SetonaMans factory race car.

Modified for racing purposes by Chevrolet Engineering. I got the work order right here, or will have as soon as I crank up the laser printer.

Part was immediately declared illegal by the sanctioning bodies as it gave Corvette an decidedly unfair advantage.

This part was believed to have been lost when the SetonaMans race car was lost with the sinking of the Andrea Doria.

Part is in it's original "as raced" condition.

Offers in the six figures range considered.
