I am looking for header / side pipes for my 66 coupe that DO NOT require cutting the body. I seem to recall that Hooker made some a few years ago, but I am not able to find them. I really am not interested in cutting the body, but I do like the look and sound of the side pipes!

Any suggestions would be a great help!

I have Mcjacks headers and Sweet Thunder GNM sidepipes on my 496 in the 66. No cutting needed. You don't mention SB or BB.
Dave,
Can you expand on how this is done and/or post some photos? My understanding is that one has to cut off the body tabs behind the front wheels in order to provide the proper clearance. Were you able to mount the side pipes and covers without cutting the body?

Maybe I misunderstood the initial question. My car already had sidepipes so those tabs were already cut off. I thought he meant in order to install the headers the body had to be cut. So yes if it was a factory underbody exhaust car, Yes the front needs to be cut off I have seen in some applications where the rear doesn't but with the large GNM sidepipes they do. I did see an article on the web that showed someone adding sidepipes that didn't cut anything but hell if I can remember where it was.
I'm pretty sure I have hookers on mine, not may 4 inch side pipes which is what I have. Love the look. Do not know what it takes to install them. But, I would definately put a heat shield on them otherwise you will burn the crap out of your legs.
