OK, I had my little joke but in case I do not wake up tomorrow I do not want you guys to think I purchased a brown car. The second owner, (I'm the fourth) must of been drunk that day to paint the car brown. Anyway at least the 3rd owner had enough sense to paint it as per the trim tag which is white with red interior. In my C1 days when I was painting my cars I would always paint one red and then when sold paint the next one white just to have something different. Always had red interior. So I really like the white with red interior. Thumbs up to zoomin, I know he wanted to say"'what the hell is that".
Believe me, you stretched the limit of my diplomacy skills with that one!
I actually liked the brown and it would look killer with the saddle interior.
I really am biased to white/red, glad to hear (relieved) that's how it winds up.
Silver with a red interior is my favorite. Look at my Corvete photos. Rebuilt the motor and didn't change the cam???? The cam is the heart of the engine. Dave

If I was going into a chevy dealer in 1963 that would be the color I would order, silver with red interior, very sharp. I'm just glad I found the color I did, what with all the other colors, blue, black, tan, not that those colors are not nice, just that I do not care for them. Of course most all of us like red.
I also like red . If you want a red Vette you have to buy a 62. Every one I see is Red. While searching for one a few years back all I could find was a Red 340 and a Red Fuelly . Bought the340.

That's because there is no trim tag on C1s so people have fewer issues changing the original colors. Like BB C2s there are many more red C1s than ever left the factory!
Have to admit I'm a big fan of silver/red cars too....I love my red/red '63 coupe but sometimes, behind the wheel, its a bit much...you are swimming in a sea of red...still better'n black tho....I have that in the '61...

Had to sit on my hands to keep from typing my thought on that brown! I thought it might be a Photoshop trick-better looking white!
I know this guy is thinking, does this piece go here or somewhere else. Every black suspension parts and frame was power coated. At first I did not like the idea of doing that because of the non original color. But after I drop a few drops of brake fluid by mistake on frame, and it did not melt the coating, I'm glad he did. It's much more durable.
The fiberglass headlight buckets turned out nice. The original motors did not work so previous owner purchased 2 reproduction ones (He gave me all the original parts that he replaced with new). Not using the headlights for several years the repo motors had frozen up. Maybe a little WD40 will unfreeze them. I had to remove them anyway to show the deputy the lights worked. Of course he did not know they were suppose to go up and down so I was able to hide a rag under each bucket to hold them up. He never noticed. For those of you who do not know KY laws, all out of state cars have to be inspected by the law for fitness on road.
