Ain't dat da truth. Wish I had a dollar for every time someone says "it's a corvette engine." When I bought my 58 previous owner told me it had a 327 in it. Wrongo. It was a 63 283 pass block. When I bought my 62 prev owner told me it had a 327 in it. Wrongo. It was a 67 283 pass block. I have since the purchases bought correct cast dated blocks for each that are in them now.
There's a good chance that's a CE over the counter replacement block. As already mentioned, not a Corvette engine but possibly a worthy pickup if the price is right. That's what's in my 61 Vette.

The 3905393 is a late 60's cast iron Q-Jet intake (never used on Corvettes); the 512 block never had a production application - it was produced exclusively for Service use as a universal replacement for 327 blocks, and was cast for many years. Many folks seek them, as they came with the crankcase rear vent hole that was eliminated on later blocks.
