Tim Allen Visits My Pit
I work on the TV show "Last Man Standing" which stars Tim Allen (Home Improvement and Toy Story). We had a meeting in my garage and he just had to check out The Pit. My '66 Coupe is in the background.

One of the funniest stand-up comics ever and a true car guy!

This will probably grow in popularity like the ice bucket challenge!
Getting pictured in the pit!

Last Man Standing is one of the last few network shows I like and Tim Allen is a funny guy.

Did he do his "argh-argh-argh"?
In one of his ancient stand-up routines, he talked about the manliness of having a garage with a drain in the floor.
He did own one of the rare Fitch Corvair racing cars, and Frank said "a true car guy".

Hey Larry: If you look for a thread called "Look What I Found In My Garage" you will get the whole story. The guys who came to do my floor discovered the pit while they were chipping at some cracks in the cement. The thing had apparently been filled in and covered over many years ago. Nobody knew it was there. The cost of restoring it was part of the entire project, and I don't know that figure offhand. I do know that Tim Allen told me he wanted to put one in his garage but you can't do that anymore -- probably EPA and insurance reasons. If you have one you can restore it, but not put in a new one. So if you wind up doing it... keep it under your hat.

Nice to hear and I'm not surprised.
Glad to hear the show is being renewed. One of the few I look forward to as I think he relates to middle working America more than most. I hope to see your '65 in the coming season.
