Last night at the local cruise-in on coastal Maine, the radiator started leaking from the lower left hand corner. To be honest, I'm surprised it's lasted this long. My car is a decent (to me), low HP, 4spd., aftermarket air, non original driver and I'm on somewhat of a budget so I don't need a high end, correct numbers replacement. I looked at all the well known vendors and also on the 'Bay. While on that last site, I found a company called "Radiator Classic" in California showing 100929 reviews with a 99.2% positive feedback and their aluminum, 2 row radiator from China sells for $78.99 delivered. No, that's not a typo, $78.99 (I'm familiar with "You get what you pay for"). I then checked this site here for any previous threads on them and found only one (not favorable) and it was from 2011. So, my question is: has anyone else had any experience with this company and their radiator in the recent past and also, would you consider buying one?
If the leak is rather small, I would add a can of Stop Leak, and start saving for a Dewitt's. IMO, your wasting your time & money putting in a 80 dollar piece of Chinese crap.

I just put in a DeWitts stacked plate and have a 3 year old Direct Fit aluminum radiator I'd be willing to sell for $200.00 plus shipping (don't know where you live since you haven't filled out personal info.) since I don't need it now.
I'd just take your radiator to a local radiator shop, the are pretty easy to fix. If they quote you more than you like then you can look at a cheap radiator or a used one. JMO.
The Chinese are great at making cheap patio furniture and calculators....Radiators for American classics doesn't fall under any part of the Peking Garden restaurant menu. It's not a 3 minute job to put a new radiator in, so why put a Chinese turd radiator in, and then have to do it again a month later when it takes a poop? Buy a decent one, or the one from the above poster, or one that has a little warranty with it, etc....

Folks here are generous with their expertise, and often their material assistance. I have gotten very cheap (and good) parts, and even some free parts and offers here. I have also given parts away gratis to folks here. Good people.

Buy the $78.99 radiator and let us know how you like it.
You are not trying keep anything correct on your car anyway.
Just give it a try.
No, it's not. That's a generic aftermarket copper/brass "look-alike" substitute radiator, with about 40% less cooling capacity than the correct Harrison stacked-plate aluminum radiator.

I told the guy it was copper on private email and if he wanted it
he could have it just pay shipping and add a thirty pack. Its got to be better than the one from China and its free. Never told him it was aluminum .
A friend of mine crunched the radiator on his new BMW when he was a little careless letting the jack down. He bought a $60 replacement radiator and we all laughed at him; two years later, car runs cool and no problems. There have been advances in technology the last few years. I'd go for the replacement radiator; what is there to lose, eighty bucks? For a "driver" i'd sure chance it. If it don't work, you can always scrap it; what are old pop cans going for these days?
