Default Pedal Assembly Help

I will be reinstalling my instrument cluster. I also have the clutch and PB pedal assembly out for rebuild.
My thought is to install instrument cluster first as per LARS write up assembly most of it on bench into back of instrument cluster, keep it suspended on threaded rods, this will give me more space behind dash without pedal bracket to attach oil line, speedo and tach cables etc.
Then lastly re-install the pedal assembly. Has anyone done it in this order as I don't want to get that far and realize I overlooked something and that plan for pedal assembly last doesn't work and start all over.
thanks Roger

I see no reason you could not do it that way, the pedal assy bolts from the bottom and thru the firewall

I put the pedal ***'y back in before the cluster.

Just curious what does "sending it off for a rebuild" entail ? I fixed the bad weld at the top of the clutch pedal and put new nylon bushings in, new rubber stops, new pedal pads and painted everything then lubed it all. A relaxing morning's worth of work - no biggee...

FYI - make sure you put the brake pedal push rod in the right hole for power brakes (the lower one)....this is because of the canted angle of the master cylinder with the booster...

Frankie "out" meaning out of car and on my bench for replacing bushings, painting etc as you outlined. Thanks for the FYI as I would have a 50 / 50 chance of improper install.
Now I am thinking about replacing the Power Brake booster firewall is fully accessible; as project just keeps creeping along. There is a company MBM that makes an exact reproduction in states with proper markings, plating etc, supposedly built to GM standards.
