Default 63 w side pipes: ground strap missing

I installed a new radio in the SWC yesterday, and it works, but the ground cable was reading a resistance of 14 ohm (where it should read close to 0).

so I figured I have a grounding issue somewhere, and was trying to locate all the ground straps.

I read that the ground strap on body mount #1 (front of driver side on sill) was very important, as it grounds everything from the firewall rearward.

Much to my surprise, I think mine is missing
Maybe it is moved to an alternate location, but I cannot locate it.
Am I correct that it should be located where you see the red arrow in this picture?

My car is fitted with non-Original side pipes, so it was probably removed then. So my question to side pipe owners is: can you explain/show me how this ground strap is fitted on your car?

Thanks!

Both the AIM and the Corvette Shop Manual towards the back under radio illustrate the location. One end of strap screws to frame and the other clips to front edge of birdcage longitudinal. Sorry but I do not have a photo of it.

Here's that ground strap - it screws to the body mount bracket on the frame with a star washer, and the other end of the strap is a U-shaped steel clip that's barbed and pushes on the front edge of the birdcage sill.

Any chance you also have a picture of this strap on a sidepipe car? Or maybe you know where to connect it to? I suppose it should not hit the exhaust? Thanks!

If you have the time to have a quick look under the hood to see where it connects to on your car, that would be great!
My manual shows me the original location, but as it is a'63, the location with the sidepipes is not mentioned

exact same location for N14 or not.

the small forward most notch snipped out of the horizontal edge of the sill longitudinal is right underneath the clip on an N14 car mid-65, 66 and 67 (St. Louis bodies)

the side pipe runs well below and outboard of the strap location.
