So my policy is up for renewal and I have had no tickets or claims but Hargerty jacked it up anyway? So for all 4 of my collector cars it was over $1700 for a year . I called Grundy and they were at just over $1300 so getting better. Then I remembered on here someone talking about NCM Insurance. After speaking with them it came in at $1100. Plus I increased coverage by 5k on one and 20k on another and 1k on a 3rd. Am I missing something here or does this sound to good to be true?
I then called Hagerty to try and get the price atleast close to stay with them and they pretty much said go pound sand. I don't understand?
I'm with NCM now and if you have several cars you get a "Large Collector" discount...
The lady was very helpful and asked questions the other 2 did not. She asked about disconnect switches and fire extingushers. Also if I pay $50 to join the museum it knocked my premium down $150. Guess I'm gonna be a member
One thing the NCM insurance doesn't do is charge you liability insurance on EACH insured vehicle. Only a one time charge. At least they didn't last time I checked. That little tidbit will save you a ton on premiums.

I went through the same thing with Allstate about 4 years ago. I was with that insurance company for over 30 years and had one $800 incident. They kept jacking up my rate until I checked out USAA and when I confronted Allstate they could care less.
Had a small claim with NCM of $2800.00 for a soft top , they dint even question me or sent a claim person out, just said have done . Great people and Adam .

Yes.
I believe the rational may be you can only drive one at a time.
Another good choice is JC Taylor Collector Car Insurance. I've used them for 15 years, and find their rates competitive, and excellent customer service. When I hit a deer a few years back with a V12 Jag XKE, they were right there to deal with it and paid up quickly. So far, I've been satisfied.
I am with NCM INS. Had a problem when I went to renew my policy. It went from $606.00 a year to $1059.00 They accused me of changing my plates from authentic plates to regular plates I have three classics ins. with them why would I change my plates!!!!!This started in the beginning of June of this year Got it straitened out but here it is almost the end of AUG. And still haven't got the final bill. Been with Hargerty and Grundy before never any claims. Just my story or my 2 cents.
They made it clear they don't want you using it as a daily driver and that was all that was said.
I switched from Hagerty to NCM several years ago when Hagerty wouldn't write my Z06 - NCM said no problem!
Read the policy. There are limitations. I can easily work within them, but some need more leeway. Call Adam if you see something that doesn't suit you (mileage, for example) and he may be able to make some adjustments.
I live in eastern PA. When Hurricane Sandy came up the coast, Adam called and asked if I needed any assistance moving my cars to higher ground if necessary. I didn't, but thought it was good cust service. I do realize that they were only trying to protect their investments. Adam told me they were calling all of their customers in the affected area offering assistance if needed prior to the storm hitting.
Insurance companies are basically all the same, they go up and down on rates all the time. That's why I shop around every year. The last few years, Safeco has been the cheapest for me and they treat me good, no complaints. They cover my house and cars.

Thank you all for the kind words! It is VERY much appreciated!
c2performance, can you email me and I will look into it? If I recall you and I emailed with the balance that is owed, and we are just awaiting payment. You have been advised of your premium at this point, and it is back down to where it was.

The same is true for Hagerty and most other collector insurers. Another point to consider is that some (Hagerty) have zero deductible for collison
