On my 63 convertible, the passenger side arm was sitting high(~4") on the windshield. I repositioned it on the spline so that it sat just above the driver side arm as they appear in most photos. When I turned on the wipers, they collided on the downswing. Any thoughts on how to correct this problem?
They look correct in your picture but make sure the wiper blade holders are 15"
If they are the right size, with the ign key in the accessory position, run the wipers on low speed. Just as they are about to collide turn the ign key off. While the wipers are in this position, take the right side wiper off and then reinstall it a few splines counter clockwise, enough only so they cannot hit anymore. This should solve it
They aren't close to being positioned right in that picture. Confirm that you have the proper length though as suggested. My coupe had too long wipers on it and was scuffing the windshield chrome whenever I used them until I figured it out...
This is how they look now - no collisions and a full sweep without hitting the stainless molding. Correct wipers should also have a screw on the side that allows you to adjust the angle..

In my post I should have more clearly stated "they look like the correct length in the picture" Didnt mean to suggest they were oriented correctly.
It is obvious they are in need of adjustment.
If they are in fact 15" OP should try re-orienting as suggested.
