From the Dallas TX Craiglist post:
1954 corvette roller build your own one of a kind hot rod corvette. Lots of money spent. Has original X frame with Camaro front sun frame with power steering and disk power brakes. No motor or trans. Lots of extra trim pieces to finish. Will trade for a ZO6 corvette,2010 and up Camaro SS, nice Lifted diesel 4x4,another running driving corvette. Or will take 25k cash

You better buy it quick after putting it on this site. Well worth it in my opinion.

You could finish it for about $4000.

That's pretty cool IF it has the correct VIN. I like it.

I went on ebay, and you can't really buy one (mostly complete) for double that price. So if you think you can find/buy the engine, trans, axle and the rest that you don't see in the photos for $25,000 and labor, then go for it. Not too many out there, and at least you can do whatever you want to this one.

Or you can buy a nice white one listed right now for $62,500 OBO

(I'd buy the finished one)

There's another white one (cracked paint and lots of patina) for $55,000

I guess it all depends on if you want to go back to stock or just get it back on the road. Im sure that C1s always sell better when they are stock over modified.

I think the 'Camaro front sun frame' adds value. Solar is IN.

I was alway's inclined to think that way also, but after seeing what some of the modified's/restomods are going for, I'm not quite so sure anymore.

1953-1955 Corvettes are the most expensive years to restore. Parts are expensive and not many places repop parts for them due to the limited marked caused by low production numbers. If you go to Paragon, Corvette Central, etc., and search for parts all you'll come up with is car covers, window cleaners and alarm systems.
