Heater hose size 1962 Corvette
What is the correct heater hose size for the hose going from the water pump to the heater, pn 3747132?
And the other heater hose from the intake to the heater pn 3760989?
Thanks.

One is 5/8 and the other is 3/4. I always forget which one goes where. But I know the sizes

The heater core inlet (lower nipple to intake manifold) gets the 5/8” hose. The heater core outlet (upper nipple to the water pump) gets the 3/4" hose.

Nope. That's true for midyears, but the '57-'62 C1's still had the old-school design with the thermostatic temp valve on the upper (inlet) core pipe from the 5/8" intake manifold fitting, and the lower core pipe was the outlet back to the 3/4" water pump fitting.

Tom,
You are correct.
But it gets confusing when the pipe coming out of the heater core uses 5/8" hose to the copper elbow and then the hose coming out of the elbow is 3/4" back to the water pump.
Then you have the 3/4" to 5/8"pipe reducer in the block and so on and so forth....
