Hello, I have searched every site to find A picture of the window crank install 1960 the assembly manual has a picture but it is still not clear how spring goes ÀND what size hole.goes thru door panel it shows a seal on shaft but. what does spring fit against A SIMPLE DRAWING WOULD BE. GREATLY APPRECIATED ,Thanks Michael

It should be exactly like the '61....the spring is sandwiched between the fiberglass door inner skin and the removable door panel as shown...the arrow points to the door panel - the size of the hole needed (1.44") is also shown. You should confirm the hole is the same size for a '60 car.

My '60 AIM has the exact diagram that Frank shows above. Sect. F Sht 10.00. Same hole-size dimensions and same part numbers.
The purpose of the spring is to push out the sheet metal to the window crank handle so there is no gap, and the plastic washer is to keep the crank handle from damaging the sheet metal.
You have to put teh spring on before you install the door panel.
Then you get to try to push the sheetmetal and plastic washer back while installing the crank and seating the jesus clip without scratching the sheet metal. Covering the metal with painters tape helps.
Out of frustration, i got rid of the spring on one side after doing the other side and used a compressible foam piece instead of the spring, it isn't quite as strong and does a reasonable job of pushing out the sheet metal.
