What is the easiest way to remove the clock from a 67 with no AC?
Is it possible to remove it by only removing the passenger side panel or do I have to remove the glove box or both or just the glove box? Thanks All
Took out my clock and radio a few years back when I changed my heater core. No A/C in mine, but the glove box, heater duct and side panel had to come out. The radio, speaker and clock all needed repair, they were right there, so I knocked down all four birds with one stone. A shop and assembly manual are a big help. It's not a hard job, but it is a tight space. Don't know about you, I don't have my school girl figure any more. Good luck.
I took out the clock and radio in my '66 (no A/C) by just taking off the 2 console side panels. Didn't need to remove glove box. Not sure if there is a major difference between '66 & '67 though.
I've done it by pulling the instrument cluster forward then just reach behind and undo the spring clips and connector and out the front it comes.
Pulling the glove box may give you a little more room and less chance of pulling a wire loose.
TIP Disconnect the battery first.
It'll help if you can do this with your panel

Here's what I would do. Pull the glove box, reach in and unplug the connector, press and slide off the clips on both sides of the back of the clock, and pull the clock out the front.

Just have a magnetic pickup tool handy in case you drop one of the clips down in the radio/console area.
You guys must all have big hands. I can easily r&r my 66 clock just by reaching over the RH radio side panel and sliding the retainer clips off by pushing on the sprung end of the clips and sliding them off the retaining posts. Takes less than 5 minutes. The clips both point the same way after reassembly, but I don't guess any NCRS judge is gonna stick his head in there to check ( or will he?)
Once the clips are off, just pull the clock forward out of the dash to get easy access to the electrical connector and the lamp sockeys. Its a whole lot easier to pull the electrical connector off and take the lamp sockets out with the clock pulled forward out of the dash

You can do it all by just removing the RH side panel. You might end up with a couple scratches on your forearms but it only takes about 5 minutes. And, my car even has factory ac!
