how come?

wouldn't every dealer's shop's mechanic have had one of these back in the day?

or were they just at the plant?

what are the repro's copied from?

i actually don't care if it is original...it is just every repro i have/see have too many unreadable things and diagrams that did not copy clearly... this is what i am solving for

thanks!

I think you are looking down a dead end road. IF you found one, I can't imagine how expensive it would be. The AIM's were a working tool at the assembly factory. It was a disposable item then. When it got greased up, tattered and torn, it most likely went into the trash. What ever few were saved were used to generate the first reproduction copies. My copy is from the late '70's, bought from Mid America. Mike Yager may have been the starter of these. I have no idea who the printer is now, but I think what's out there now is as good as it's going to get. Dennis

ok

i'll try the mid-america repro - maybe they are going off of an original and everyone else copied a copy, making it worse

thanks

My experience with 63 and 67 AIMs is the ones from the NCRS store
(drafting graphic) are far better than the ones from Mid America.

ALL of the Assembly Manuals are copies of of copies of copies - it was strictly an internal document, issued by the Engineering Graphics Group to the assembly plants and Central Office departments that required it as an assembly aid; it was never distributed beyond those groups.

Read this article to understand the Assembly Manual and how to use it effectively:

http://www.camaros.org/AIM.shtml

Ford and Mopar guys have NO assembly manuals, and would LOVE to have anything like ours.
