With all due respect, maybe it isn't that people don't like to see your videos of the old warbirds, but possibly your pissy attitude puts them off. I think more people like them than you think and hope you keep posting them, but ditch the negative attitude.
That is REALLY BAD FORM to flame Tom for this posting. If you had an inkling as to how many YEARS of work it took to bring this plane back and how many people including Tom devoted thousands of hours of volunteered time to saving this important piece of history you might have rethought your short sighted negative comment. No need to ruin the moment for Tom or the rest of us.
Great videos Tom.
I love these old planes. You guys over there would have a lot more of them to restore or just go have a look at. We here in New Zealand have a small community of guys doing up old planes but do not see them often.
A while back a Dehavilland Mosquito FB.26 was completely rebuilt here and I think is now back in US on display. Just great to see them fly and do what they were designed for and not just sit in a museum. I believe there is another being built here, also a spitfire somewhere in the country.

What? No dramatic background music to muffle the sweet sound of the radials. Nice bird! Any idea when the first ride will be? Does the FAA have to certify it first?
NO!
MAYBE if we're lucky (for the past 17yrs, luck has been rare), about one more year.
Yep.
Tom, congratulations this is a water shed moment from where you began with the plane. To hear those radials fire up after all this time and to be able to taxi compared to where you were about 5 years ago, you and the other volunteers must be very proud. Those of us who are involved in aviation know what a tremendous effort was involved. Thanks for sharing the videos and Kuddos for the article you wrote in the current NCRS restorer on C-1 front ends. Sorry you feel that way. I love his posting of this aircraft and all his warbirds postings. It has nothing to do with the work he and many other dedicated people perform with preserving and making these historically important aircraft airworthy again, which I truly admire. My father was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran and I spent 22 years in the USAF, so I know the importance of preserving aircraft history. My problem was his extremely negative attitude, period.

I agree with Dan.... 'attitude' has/had nothing to do with this thread and had no place in your posting...
Guys, I wanted to stay out of this discussion, but there's distraction from the very interesting and worthwhile topic.
I think in the OP, a point was made about Corvette owners in general in support of an assumption that there would not be any interest in this thread or that some would consider it OT. While he has every right to his opinion, it's not a surprise that some Corvette owners would disagree with that opinion. Maybe that's a debate for another place, another time.
Let's all agree that the thread topic is about the warbirds and is without question one that many people appreciate and have interest in, and stay on that topic. A lot of people thank Tom for the posting of the information here. Let's enjoy it.

I can certainly agree with that and as I said previously, I appreciate Tom posting these warbird updates and enjoy them
Tom ..
Nice progress. .. Things really looking up and coming together on the A26 project. Almost looks like she's ready for some high speed taxi tests.
There's just something special about pistons and propellers when it comes to warbirds. Kudos to you guys putting in time and effort to once again bring this baby back to flight worthy status. .. Thanks for posting this update.

Love it Tom! I'd have no idea where to start to send all the systems to get rebuilt. Landing gear seals, hydraulic pumps/actuators, fuel systems, on and on. 70 year old systems that all have to work right and out of production . Every time I tour the insides of one of these old bombers I'm amazed at all of the aircraft systems let alone the weapons systems. Keep em coming.
Thanks from a hopefully non-snobbish fellow Vette and radial aircraft owner/lover.
DZ, things have progressed well... Looking forward to the day hearing it fly. Relaxing here at Destin two T-6's flyover in formation. There is nothing like radials, the sound, smoke and exhaust.
Keep em flying ! Tail winds my friend.

Great to hear and see those old radials running. That's what horsepower sounds like. Near 20 years ago I was the Chief Pilot of the flyable warbirds in the Evergreen museum (home of the Spruce Goose) in McMinnville, Or. Was able to fly the SNJ, T-28, TBM, P-51, Corsair, B-17, and Ford Tri-motor. Listening to those big motors reminded me of my 65 coupe with 327/365 and Hooker header side pipes at idle!
