I can't offer any opinion on those mounts, they are not the usual type. I can caution you to be skeptical of the mounts that state they are stock engine location if you want to use your stock clutch linkage and drive shaft length. As you are using an overdrive trans and a hyd clutch these are not concerns. Tho if the overdrive trans kits you are using includes a driveshaft with the length for actual stock location it may not be work if your engine mounts placed your engine somewhere else. For convenience you may consider slider mount like those offered by "Dirty Dingo". I am using their solid mounts with great success for many miles in the past 7 years in my car.

thanks for your reply . I figured I would have to alter the driveshaft once the motor and trans are in place.

Thanks again

Hi OOFXD

I have the brass fitting but not sure how you got them in as they would be too close together as my engine LS6 is further forward due to the Tremec 5 speed. I think from the pictures yours are off set so being further back they don't hit the control arm.
can anyone help here

thanks Pau

Hi Paul,
Regarding the water pump fittings being too close together, that's where you need one of the fittings to be a two-piece version where the right angle piece threads together. That leaves enough room to thread the NPT end into the water pump, and orient it the way you need and the thread the other half into the fitting.
I ended up switching to Savitske (SC&C) adjustable A-arms for clearance over stock, it made a lot of difference (they also give greatly improved positive camber in turns). I'm not so good at posting pictures but there are some on my website that show the A-arms.

I'll send you a PM with my phone number so you can call and I'll explain more about how I did the conversion.
Good luck,
Rick

If your "LS6 is further forward", it would indicate that you used the engine mounts that move your engine ahead. If these engines are mounted where they should be everything fits surprisingly well. My LS engine driven fan even fit perfectly in the original steel shroud! As shown in the pic I previously posted for you, you can see that my heater hose outlets are nicely behind the control arm bolt.
Just to be clear, I am still using my Muncie, not a 5 speed, so I did not have to shorten my driveshaft for a longer transmission. If I did use a longer transmission I would expect to have to modify [shorten] my drive shaft as so many others have done after installing the Tremec in Corvettes. This would be many kits come with a short drive shaft.
Those that use a Tremec with the original engine do not move the engine forward.
