New owner of 1964....what is the trick to getting the windshield wipers off the car? On most cars there is a set screw or they just pull off. Mine won't budge for anything. Thanks!

There are other places that also sell something similar. LICS is one of them.
Just do an internet search.
Use a bit of tape at the contact points to prevent scuffing/marring the wiper arms............and just for safety sake, pad the car's hood area when you use the tool for the first time.
I can usually get away without using specialty tools and thought I could get the arms off without the tool. Get the tool...I realized there was really no way without damaging the stainless steel. The tape is also a good idea.
I've successfully used a screwdriver. You need to use a towel to protect the hood, and very specifically the opening for the post for the wiper. You will pry/lift the tab and the arm will either slowly move, or possibly pop off the post. I've done this dozens of times without damaging the stainless.
I have to agree with the suggested tool purchase. I have had one for awhile now and have used it many times. It's cheap and, IMO the easiest, quickest and, the safest way to remove wiper arms.

In reality I was able to get one side off with a screwdriver, but the other side was just on much tighter. If the car was a few years old it would be easy, but when the splined connection is 50 years old it tends to want to stay put and not cooperate.
One note of advice is once you have the tool in place you may have to use both hands and rock/pull/wiggle and persuade it up. I know I did on the passenger side. Just be patient and don't break the wiper transmissions.
