I suggest you read the post again. I had to read it three times before I decided I had to respond.

Yeah, I still read it as accidentally. Says the kid held the door (I'm assuming unbeknownst to him) as he closed it... doesn't sound intentional to me. I could be wrong, but that's how I took it.

A number of years ago I drove my 55 Chevy to a show, parked it and went to register. When I came back the door was open and a guy sitting it. Didn't seem to bother him at all.
At a church cruise-in I had a hillbilly family walk over to my 62 Corvette and one of their children (I use that term loosely) wanted to sit in the car. Ok, my rule was pretty women and little kids are OK. Kid got in hillbilly mom came over with her new I-Phone to take a picture, dropped it on the fender and took out a big chip in the paint. She picked up her camera and never said a word. I opened the door for the kid, as he got out he held the door and I slammed his finger in the door. Blood everywhere, told her to go to the first aid tent and we quietly left.
No good deed goes un-punished.....

There is no reason to hurt the child for the sins of the mother.
I've only gotten close to being nasty with a child once, and that was after I told him to not hit the car, he started to do it intentionally.

I saw a guy sitting on the fender of my 2000 Cobra R model Mustang . I asked him if he had a car there . He took me over to it and showed it to me. I was more than happy to discuss it while I sat of his fender . He asked me to get of and I continued to talk about my car. When he got red I mentioned that I didn't like it any more than he did. As I walked away he gave me the finger . I turned around and he ran away. I let the air out of all 4 of his tires and walked back to my car and drove away. MY buddy was there to watch my car. Never saw the guy at a car show again. QUOTE=Mike Terry;1593335428]You just can not fix STUPID PEOPLE
You let the air out of his tires? That is something that a 16 year old would do

Punching out bicycle riders, slamming doors on kids' fingers, letting the air out of tires... Tony Soprano watch out....
I've hollered at a few disrespectful miscreants that p!ssed me off at car shows but I have no illusions about my geriatric *** being able to strap on some 28 year old young buck trying to impress his girlfriend. I might try if my Italian temper gets up but there is no doubt about the outcome.
That's a recipe for a kicked-*** and then the guy will lawyer up and sue you and win...
Now, if its some fat chick that pisses me off and my buddies will knock her down I'll sure as hell kick her in the stomach...

You gotta love the direction some of these threads begin to go in.
This went from an obnoxious car show experience, to tire deflation, child abuse, possible lawsuits due to violence and now, politics!
I love this forum!

Maybe. . . Depending on the 'temperature' over what happened that don't mean an 'old' guy might not go into back in the day reversion mode.

Some of you guys need to set up a little table next to your car and put some cookies and a little saucer of milk out for the admirers.
