Old Corvettes are prone to stress cracking along the bonding strips as well, as they get old and are exposed to sun, which is why any good paint job includes gouging out those areas and putting in thin strips of fiberglass to prevent it.

No old Corvettes with previous body work mostly bad work is prone to cracks. I have yet to see original paint cars with stress cracks.

I've seen lots of them with minute cracks in the paint at the point where the panels bond. Maybe it's the cold weather or sun exposure, or like you say previous repaired panels.

If it's a C1 car that's a common place for cracks due to the stress of people working on the engine laying on the fender.

When you go to reply to a post...if you look at all different things you can do ABOVE the area you type. Suchas teh 'fonts' and BOLD, ITALIC's and UNDERLINE

you will see one to the right....that is a yellow square that looks like a photo of a mountain and a sun in it.

When you put your cursor on it...it will show 'Insert image'.

Click on that and that will allow you to go into your computer or get a photo from another source.
