If the rain is not too heavy and you can maintain 50+ mph, you can drive with the top down and not get wet. (Note qualifiers in there)

If tape is the answer, try some gaffer tape. It comes in various widths and colors and is matte finish. It can be torn to length. Its best feature is that it does not leave residue as long as you don't leave it in place for several days or in the hot sun.

I think the girl was sitting in a Jeep to the right of the Corvette.

Is the problem as bad on C1s? Can the center latch be put on the C1?

I stand corrected. Sadly you're correct.

Thanks,

A mentioned external gaffers tape or modern pvc duct tape works, but is messy. I have successfully used pipe insulation tape as it is reinforced with nylon strands and has a foil barrier that blocks water, but it sticks and the adhesive is much more difficult to clean up.

Commercial refrigerator seal tape works the best to fill and seal the interior windshield header to the top header gap. It is a closed cell pvc foam to prevent soaking like a sponge, but the headers contact void is far from uniform to promote a good seal.

A rain coat slicker across the knees works as well as any barrier (and in my single days the result of top leaks lead to some interesting dating experiences ). Turn lemons into lemonade (or just drop off the sour ones at their doorstep).

The blue (or green) painter's quick release tape is designed to keep fluids out (e.g. wet paint) and still be removed easily. Call it ugly but it'll sure keep you dry but must be put on before the rain or it won't adhere well and will be flapping around on the highway.

Equivalent to coming out of the bathroom at a party or nightclub with toilet paper stuck to your shoe...
