Has anyone tried to find a mini booster (7inch) for their bb 67 vette? i ordered some relieved shorty valve covers for my bbc conversion. If i end up using a full roller aluminum head set. am i destined to purchase a hydro boost set up?
I stripped off the cheap orange paint and resprayed them with KBS Chevy Orange engine paint. They fit fine over my Scorpion roller rockers, although I did have to buy shorter rocker lock nuts. The bolts holes were a little off, but they bolted down okay, and if you use a good Felpro cork gasket, they don't seem to leak ... Here's what they look like on my car ...

Not that my opinion means anything...but I would install the hydroboost system. I have installed them and they DO work really well.
I also do some improvements to the kit I get from Hydratech. Mainly in the fittings/clamps so they look good on the resto-mods I am installing them in. I do not want regular hose clamps to be seen...I want AN fittings and hose routings to flow...so some more fittings were required from the Corvettes I installed them in.
I have replaced MANY of the small diameter vacuum boosters that were bad...with the correct GM ones also when clearances are not involved.

Now THAT IS a motor! I want it! Bill
