Default Borgeson Power Steering Conversion

Does anyone have a step by step simplified procedure for installing a borgeson power steering upgrade on a 1967 427? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to research as much as I can before attempting the removal of my old non ps unit and uprgrading to power.

Thsnk you,
chris

You can download from the Borgeson site. They are also in the box if you already have one. Here's the one I downloaded when I did my 72.

It's pretty easy. Remove the factory box and PSCV if you have factory PS and install the Borgeson box. Cut your steering shaft to the new length.

On a 67, you don't cut the steering shaft, just collapse the 2 piece shaft to the proper length. I did a 67 about 5 years ago, it is a very simple install for anyone with decent mechanical aptitude.

Does your car already have factory PS or not. If not, purchase all of the factory big block PS pump mounting brackets and pulleys, that is the biggest challenge, installing the Borgeson box is simple.

Feel free to PM me with any specific questions.

Thank you sir for your guidance. I did order it straight from Borgeson and specifically wanted a kit turn key since it never had PS. I'm confident I'll be able to install this conversion but always like to hear from the subject matter experts first. Thank you again sir

Plan on making the item shown in this thread to keep the alternator support bracket bolt from snapping.

Is it possible to increase the caster 3-4 degrees as recommended on the installation instructions by ordinary alignment procedures? I've been considering the Borgeson conversion for my 64 and I've searched and read a bunch of threads on it. Some have said I would need to notch the A arms to gain the caster needed. I have no idea what that means. Can someone explain please? A pic maybe?
C42no06 did you have to do the notch in the A arm to gain the needed caster?

You should start a new thread to get an answer as this is buried in a different discussion...
