I'm thinking on dyeing parts of my carpet for a 66 Corvette black in color with Rit black azabache liquid dye. Did anyone use this product and how were the results, was it easy to apply? Looking forward in the forum comments. Thank you

I used the aerosol spray dye on my red carpet a few years ago. It turned out great with much less mess. Do a search on others that had the same result if you want an alternative to RIT.
It may be easy to match the black shade with RIT but I found that red shades in RIT weren't very close to the red I needed. The spray red was right on. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ed-carpet.html

I used that exact dye on my faded black carpets. Hot water with the RIT in a spray bottle. I used a pretty aggressive mixture... maybe 50/50. Turned out great and the carpets were not stiff at all. However, if you do have older carpet like I did and you get the carpet too wet it will have that old car smell for awhile. It went away after a few months though.

Hope this helps.
I did the same thing. It looked good but faded in the sun with in 2 years.
I used the liquid applied to my seatbelts. They are originally black so I just wanted to make them look fresh again.
I found out the hard way that I need to basically wrap them in towels to utilize them. This after finding black stripes around my t-shirts after driving the car.
I have literally scrubbed them with towels, yet they still emit stains on my shirts and pants.
