Larry, the 'Grump' was no slouch, nor was Dick Landy. man I miss those days ..............
Went to a big MOPAR event this weekend in New Orleans. Herb McCandless was there for pics and MOPAR promotion. The name on his early race cars was MR 4-SPEED. He drove the second Sox and Martin car primarily in AHRA.
It was a nice event with quite a bit of early iron.

EDIT: I grew up with Ford cars, but jumped ship at age 19 for a 1965 BB Plymouth. Got tired of getting beat/outrun all the time with my Fords. This caused quite a stir at home with Dad....who was a longtime Ford mechanic. So I have a bit of history with the MOPAR brand.

Pretty boring for me. Came from my email address way back in the early 1990s. B=Brad (me), C=Charlotte (my wife) Waller=my last name. I've used bcwaller with Netcom, AOL, Earthlink, @Home, Excite, Yahoo, Verizon, and gmail...
Westlotorn,
I've played in country music bands for 40 or more years. It's the main sound in that genre. I'm still playing today at 68 yrs old. Not many people know it's sound or what it really is. I'm addicted to it.
My first race car was a 1972 Fiat 128 sedan. Raced from 1972-1976, then parked until 1995. I spent 3 years rebuilding it it's derelict state to full race worthy in 1998. Pretty obscure, not terribly fast, but a ton of fun to race at it's limits Sold it in 2005, wished I had never done that
My Corvettes have been fun, but nothing is like going into a turn at 80 mph with someone on each side of you, 6 inches away.

When my wife and I were first married I bought a '76 128 for us to commute to NYC in from our home in Bergen County. City streets at rush hour probably have the same feel. I was always impressed by how well it handled. Seeing your car brought back some very fond memories. Thanks
I joined the forum in the fall of 2002....my senior year in college. I purchased my first Corvette ('99 FRC) that winter with my NROTC stipend that was supposed to be going towards books and food. At the time, I was playing college basketball (#30) and wanted nothing more than to be a Navy pilot (FLYNAVY). I'm very thankful that I succeeded in that endeavor, but like most things in life, its waaaaayyyy cooler on TV!
For Mikado463, I submit my favorite locomotive...the monstrous #90 2-10-0 at the Strausburg Railroad....I had the pleasure of riding behind that beast every summer for most of my childhood.
